Hauer of the Dauen - A family owned and operated boutique winery

Hauer of the Dauen (pronounced: Hour of the Dawn) is a family owned and operated boutique winery located in Dayton, Oregon. Between 95-97% of fruit from the 110 acre vineyard is sold to large-scale wineries in the region, however the family does retain a small portion of each harvest for their own private label. These estate wines are known for unique flavors that are not commonly found; this includes a Rosé made from 100% Lemberger grapes, a dry Riesling with a hint of natural effervescence, and the new rising star of the Willamette Valley - Gamay Noir. A no-frills tasting room, and a zero tolerance for middle-man distributors, keeps prices at a more than reasonable rate while the limited web presence is sure to retain this winery as a hidden treasure of the Willamette Valley AVA.
