Harlem Lacrosse-CT Partnership

Harlem Lacrosse is an innovative and multi-faceted school-based youth organization that uses lacrosse instruction and competition, academic intervention, college and career mentoring, intensive leadership training and boarding school admissions counseling to engage and inspire at-risk youth.

Through a combination of academic and athletic rigor, Harlem Lacrosse programs have transformed the educational prospects for public middle and high school students, the majority of whom are at-risk for future academic decline and dropout.  Since its inception in 2011, HLL programs have achieved:

·   5 to 10 point GPA increase for its student-athletes

·  Over $24 million dollars in boarding and independent school scholarships

·  100% on-time graduation rate for our 8th grade participants.

·  Harlem Lacrosse alumni have earned admission to colleges including the University of Virginia, Haverford College, Bates College, Colby College, Connecticut College, Gettysburg College, Tufts University and the U.S Military Academy at West Point.

The Harlem Lacrosse-CT Partnership was created by Fairfield County community members in 2015 to support the work of Harlem Lacrosse and engage youth from Harlem and Fairfield County in joint athletic, social, academic and service activites.
