Hands on Workshops

Christina Ann and Cilya Akira have been friends for over 26 years and combined have 20 years experience in the cosmetology industry. What makes these lessened professionals unique is there ability to work with all textures of hair ranging from straight fine to kinky curly and they work with the industries top exclusive products lines for all hair textures. These professionals have certifications in several extension, weaving, hair loss, creative color, barbering, multi-textured hair, fashion wigs, medical wigs and cutting courses.

With there interest in the rapid growth of the industry and lack of education in their current state of Indiana, these two have traveled together to Chicago, Atlanta, Florida, and New York, to seek new techniques and to serve their clients with new looks. In addition to serving their clients and request of other industry professionals requesting one-on-one training, they thought, why not bring back techniques to their home state and to teach their fellow hair stylist. They believe that hairdressers are all unique and talented in their own way and we all need to stand together and produce great hair in our home state of Indiana.

Not only do these two serve behind the chair, but also serve to the community. Both serve on the board of Cosmetology for Arsenal Technical High School, mentoring and educating young cosmetology students on the beauty industry, career opportunities, confidence and demonstrating advance techniques not taught in their program.

The Wig making Workshop using a sewing machine is a great opportunity for stylist to efficiently save time on services while providing their clients with a low maintenance heat-free style while giving their natural locs a break. This is also a great opportunity for Stylist to earn an extra income and generate more revenue for their business. Also, this workshop is for creative individuals that want to learn the Art of Wig making.
