The Gwinnett County Public Schools Community-Based Mentoring Program completed its eighth year in serving identified males in over 50 schools. The program was launched at the behest of CEO/Superintendent J. Alvin Wilbanks in 2008, and provided community-based mentoring services to 57 identified males in middle schools. Over time, the program has grown to include working directly with schools to provide on-site mentoring services to their identified students.
