Our dream is to restore Coyote Creek to be a "living stream" - full of the fish, birds, plants and other wildlife that once lived here in abundance - and to provide opportunities for citizen enjoyment of the creek as an ecological treasure and neighborhood amenity.
We dream of restoring the steelhead trout fishery - creating the habitats that will allow these majestic 2' long ocean-going fish to return from the sea to their spawning grounds in the upper watershed and for their young to be able to swim the 14 miles down through Morgan Hill, San Jose and MIlpitas to return to the sea when the time is right!
We dream of kayakers and canoers paddling the waters of Coyote Creek - enjoying the beauty that lies within the riparian forest that bounds the creek.
We dream of guided nature walks available throughout the year and along the entire length of the creek to help citizens learn about the miracles of nature that are to be found on Coyote Creek.
We dream of a community that loves, enjoys and takes care of their creek.
