Humanity was created for freedom.
Using the arts of fashion and beauty, we create empowering programs that mentor and bring freedom to at-risk young women and survivors of the sex trade.
The Freedom and Fashion Los Angeles Mentorship Program combines mentorship with the arts of fashion & beauty to empower at-risk young women, many of whom are survivors of the sex trade. In partnership with The Aviva Family and Children’s Center in Hollywood, we use a customized 12-week curriculum that not only teaches marketable skills of fashion design, patternmaking, cut/sew, sketching, makeup and hair artistry, but more importantly, it brings freedom. By infusing these practical lessons with important conversations about self image, objectification of women in the media, leadership, women’s rights, etc, the students are empowered to break through unhealthy cycles, heal from past traumas, and create a future for themselves that they can not see; an extraordinary life.
In 2016, Freedom and Fashion is continuing our successful partnership with Aviva Family & Children’s Services, a not-for-profit organization that serves at-risk youth in the Los Angeles area. Freedom and Fashion brings mentorship, arts education and job skills training to the girls housed by Aviva.
