Fox Nation - Temagami Tribe

The Fox Nation Indian Guides & Princesses focuses on father-son and father-daughter bonding experiences through outdoor adventure opportunities, community service, and family oriented events built around Native American culture and history.

We are an independent organization based in Lake Bluff and Lake Forest run by dad volunteers in the local community.  We currently have about 100 registered families with around 240 total members.  Our "Fox Nation" is supported regionally by the Ojibwa Nation in Northern Wisconsin.

Boys and girls are divided into Tribes based on grade level. Each tribe meets once per month in the evening or weekends, which includes primarily outdoor activities, crafts, and modest ritual based on Native American culture.  Our season runs from September through late June with several family events in the summer.

In addition to the Tribe meetings, we frequently host all-Nation events such as Pinewood Derby, bowling, nature preservation volunteer events, Native American sponsored events, entering a float in the Lake Bluff 4th of July parade, as well as the most popular events - three camp-outs each year in central Wisconsin held in late Spring, early Fall, and Winter.

Fox Nation also affords dads a great opportunity to connect with other local fathers, including a Dads Appreciation Event. Joining Fox Nation is easy. Simply go to http://www.foxnation.org/join/ to register and pay for yearly membership. Once you are registered, your tribe chief will be
reaching out to you to introduce himself and provide you with tribe meeting info.
