Fiona McDougall — Forest Bathing Berlin

Hi! I’m a certified Forest Bathing guide based in Berlin. I completed my training with Forest Therapy Hub in August, 2022 which included a 2 days wilderness first-aid certificate.

I came to forest bathing through a love of plants and trees, spending time outside and a desire to share those experiences in nature with others. We are constantly hearing that, despite there being more ways than ever to connect, we are living through a time of extreme isolation and disconnection from nature and each other. The practice of forest bathing, which originated in Japan in the 1980s, helps facilitates connections to other beings and our fellow humans through a series of mindful nature connection activities and sharing circles. There is also increasing scientific evidence documenting specific health benefits associated with spending time in nature, including stress reduction, improved immune system and improved mental health.
