FESTIVAL NEUE LITERATUR brings New York audiences new writings from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the United States, as the first and only festival to spotlight German-language and American fiction. Since its founding in 2009, Festival Neue Literatur has hosted over 60 of the most important German-speaking writers, along with celebrated voices in American literature and culture. For years, festival authors have grappled with various themes including queerness, love and money, dystopian societies, and serious humor, marking a unique tradition of cross-border storytelling.
