Wildlife of Africa Conservation Initiative (WACI) is a registered organization with a major aim of inspiring a growing generation, knowledgeable and motivated to take positive actions on behalf of the wildlife -plants and animals that share our environment with us.

This we hope to achieve through partnerships with individuals, Educational institutions, Conservation centers, Research Institutions, NGOs, the private sector and cultural organizations; nationally, regionally, and internationally to promote appreciation and knowledge of African Fauna and Flora particularly to young people, providing them with educational experiences that will inspire a love of all living things while fostering sound environmental practices and resource management.

Educated Guided Tour to a Zoo/Aquarium/Natural Park

We offer you a Guided Educational Tour of Zoos/Aquariums/Natural Parks because we believe that it is no longer Enough for people to go to these Conservations Centers to visualize the subject matter. The goal is to give you an educational experience that shows Conservation of our Wildlife Resources Biodiversity as a necessity, how its directly linked to your own and general human well-being and give you a working knowledge to help you understand our Natural Wildlife Resources in terms of Wild Fauna and Flora; what you can do to participate in their conservation and the habitat they depend on and motivate you to start taking positive actions on behalf of our Environment and its Biodiversity.

Wildlife of Africa Conservation Initiative and its Lagos Lagoon Waterkeeper invites you to get out of your comfort zones, homes, offices, school rooms, and marketplaces to enjoy the clean, calm water, pristine beaches, superlative food, culture and stunning cultural and historical places in and around Lagos Lagoon through what we have called 'Ariyike' Tours.

In the local language of the Yoruba people, the word Ariyike means See me and Care for me . We invite you to join our Ariyike Tours where we will see you and care for you. Ariyike Tours give people the best experience of the Ocean and Lagoon View of Lagos infused with the Wildlife, the Culture of the people and the historical places therein, while also giving them the opportunity to participate in the conservation and Protection work of Wildlife of Africa Conservation Initiative and Its Lagos Lagoon Waterkeeper Sea Turtle Monitoring and Clean Lagos Lagoon Initiative, respectively.

Through Ariyike Tours, our guests get to appreciate the breathtaking coastal ecosystem of the Lagos Lagoon, it s wild and natural flora and fauna including endangered sea turtles (Leatherbacks, Olive Ridleys and Green Turtles), and the pristine natural forests that still remain. Our Guests would learn about the local people, their food and their culture while participating in our conservation, monitoring, education and actions for #CleanLagosLagoon and #ProjectAriyike Sea Turtle Protection.

Ariyike Tours aim to build #WildlifeFriendly humanity and cultural interactions while showcasing our natural resources and biodiversity. 80% of the tour costs support our work to protect Sea Turtles of Lagos and Clean Lagos Lagoon Initiative.
