Eta Sigma Atlanta Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.

Eta Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was chartered as Gamma Chapter in 1923 on the campus of Atlanta University. In the 90 years of its existence, they have played pivitol roles in the growth of the African American community of Atlanta, civically, educationally and politically.  Be it through Selena Sloan Butler's co-founding the PTA, the creation of the first Debutante Ball to present African American females to Atlanta society by a Greek letter organization or Jondelle Johnson's contributions to the growth and outreach of the NAACP, Eta Sigma Chapter continues to strive to live out the motto of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. by rendering Greater Service to our community in order to foster Greater Progress to all mankind.
