Esther B. Clark School at CHC provides transformative education where children with severe emotional and behavioral issues re-engage in learning and develop the positive behaviors necessary to transition back to a district school.
Our school serves nearly 70 students, each referred by one of 30 contracted districts in Santa Clara, San Mateo or Alameda Counties. All students who attend EBC School have been found eligible for special education under Emotionally Disturbed or Other Health Impaired eligibility and have IEPs. The frequency and/or intensity of the “fight or flight” behaviors these students demonstrate at school, and often at home, prevents them from gaining educational benefit in their current setting.
That’s where EBC can help.
