Engage@NKU- Faculty/ Staff Series

The Engage@NKU- Faculty & Staff Series is workshops, seminars, and conversations for instructors on a variety of teaching and learning topics.  They are designed to meet the needs of both seasoned professionals and newcomers.  Each session offers the opportunity to discuss shared experiences and knowledge with colleagues.

Open to faculty of all disciplines and ranks, these 90-minute, interactive sessions: (1) synthesize and distill relevant research findings on teaching and learning; (2) disseminate teaching innovations; (3) model and share practical, evidence-based teaching strategies; and (4) provide lively venues for faculty to discuss teaching and learning with colleagues across disciplines. Topics vary each semester to meet emerging faculty needs and interests.

The goal of the University of Pittsburgh’s Teaching and Learning Exchange is to develop a community of scholars who are interested in undertaking systematic investigation of student learning in their classrooms and sharing the outcomes with others. Colleagues in virtually every discipline are striving to make pedagogical decisions based on a deep understanding of best practices. Through an inclusive community of support and collaboration, faculty can invest the intellectual power of their research skills to enhance student learning and performance and share their findings with Pitt and the world.
