Eli's Mishpacha - Yale's Jewish Alumni Group

ELI’S MISHPACHA SEEKS TO BRING TOGETHER JEWISH ALUMNI FROM YALE COLLEGE, GRADUATE AND PROFESSIONAL SCHOOLS, REGARDLESS OF THEIR ON-CAMPUS JEWISH AFFILIATIONS.

THE MISSION OF THE MISHPACHA IS TO:

  • PROMOTE THE WELL BEING AND BETTERMENT OF THE YALE UNIVERSITY JEWISH COMMUNITY, INCLUDING ALUMNI, FACULTY, AND STUDENTS, AND ACROSS THE SPECTRUM OF JEWISH IDENTITIES;

  • IMPROVE LOCAL COMMUNITIES THROUGH SERVICE, SUPPORTED BY THE AYA INFRASTRUCTURE, AND THROUGH THE YALE DAY OF SERVICE PROGRAM, AMONG OTHERS;

  • PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL AND CAREER OPPORTUNITIES FOR YALE'S JEWISH STUDENTS--INCLUDING INTERNSHIPS, SCHOLARSHIPS, AWARDS AND PRIZES--AS WELL AS NETWORKING, MENTORING AND SUPPORT;

  • ORGANIZE EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND EVENTS TO INFORM JEWISH ALUMNI, STUDENTS, AND PARENTS ABOUT JEWISH LIFE AT YALE, AND THE HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF YALE’S JEWISH COMMUNITY;

  • FOSTER POSITIVE RELATIONS BETWEEN YALE UNIVERSITY AND ITS JEWISH ALUMNI, STUDENTS AND PARENTS;

  • BUILD PARTNERSHIPS AND DEVELOP LEADERSHIP PATHWAYS WITH THE JEWISH COMMUNAL ORGANIZATIONS.
