ECDPA East Coast Durga Puja Association Inc., the oldest Indian Bengali community organization of North America, with support and help from other community based Indian organizations in the tristate area is going to celebrate the 50th year of Sharod Utsav in 2019.
Since the beginning of 1970, this grand socio-cultural celebration of Pan Indian heritage, tradition & ethnicity has really extended beyond the flavor of Bengal. Even traditionally in India,  for hundreds of years, the season of autumn has been the month of celebration in every region of India.  Whether it is Durga Puja, Dussehra or Navaratri, ceremonies, the celebration continues till Deepavali.
This month of festivities is very important and happiest of the year for us, people of the Indian and south-east Asian community, we exchange wishes, gifts, sweets, celebrate our culture, music, art, tradition, and bond with each other. Such an occasion brings unity to our society and we strengthen our roots in our motherland INDIA.
With an objective to bring all communities together at one place in the festive season of  AUTUMN, we are planning to celebrate— SHAROD UTSAV: The Great Indian Autumn Festival of USA.
