Dr. Joe Hunter is a social worker with 22 years of experience in the field, primarily as a subject matter expert in the areas of adolescence, military veterans, addictions, seniors and suicide prevention. His strengths are in teaching, leadership, group process and team building, and he has developed numerous specialized innovations in the areas of clinical practice, research, and program development. Dr. Hunter is an experienced and talented educator for both graduate students and seasoned professionals, with excellent public speaking skills. He is also an experienced live-online trainer on a variety of topics and platforms, and he has taught for NASW multiple times both in-person and live-online.
Dr. Hunter runs a webinar series entitled, "Leaning Mondays," teaches part time for the University of Southern California MSW program as an Adjunct Lecturer, provides private research and statistics consulting for PhD students, and works as the Suicide Prevention Coordinator at the Albany VA Medical Center.
