Dr. Amber Stubbs RYT 200 & Kat Gregory E-RYT 200

 

Dr. Amber lives in beautiful Bend, Oregon, where she enjoys summer and winter sports with her husband and two dogs. She coaches her clients online and in person, teaches yoga and meditation at Sage Springs Club & Spa Sunriver, mentors dissertation candidates, happily researches happiness, and teaches psychology and education courses at Argosy University Honolulu. Amber became an expert coach, mentor, and counselor during her career in human services and administrative fields as a marine and civilian family readiness officer and researcher. Her practice is informed by valuable insights gained throughout her life, career, research, and education—and from teaching psychology and public administration to her amazing students and learning adventurers at Argosy University and the University of Hawai’i. Amber had planned to continue her career in education and administration, and then she met Dr. Brent Cameron, who founded Self | Design. She was inspired by Dr. Cameron’s unconventional thinking, which led her to question her life choices.  Amber stated, “I thought I had achieved my dream life, but I questioned it because I was depressed and anxious despite hundreds of hours of therapy.” This led her to dive into the field of wellness, where she dug deeper into her yoga and meditation practice and hired a life coach. Amber explains her change process as a magical and amazing experience and wanted to share her experiences with others. She sought out a life-coaching certification through the Integrative and Wellness Academy, which complements her program, the Self | Design process, perfectly.


Kat Gregory E-RYT lives, loves and laughs with her family in beautiful Central Oregon just minutes east of majestic Mount Bachelor. She's been teaching yoga since 2006 after completing the 200 Hour YTT with Roots & Wings Yoga RYS in Vista, California.  She has taught thousands of hours and also completed Advanced Relax and Renew Teacher Training with Judith Hanson Lasater PhD. PT, Trauma Sensitive Yoga Teacher Training through Connected Warriors, prenatal and postnatal teacher training with Liza Janda E-RYT, and Power and Strap Yoga internship with Rached Maalouf. 
She holds a B.S. in Marketing from Colorado State University and worked in Finance in a previous life. She studies multiple styles of yoga, to piece together classes that are the most beneficial, restorative, and fun for her students. Equal parts calm and fun— sometimes she lets a humorous quip fly, and fully embraces why we practice yoga. Example classes are All-Levels Hatha, Restorative, Yoga-ga Baby and Me, Toddler-Go! Yoga , Family Yoga,  Yo- Kids Yoga , Meditation, Partner Yoga, Omfit mobility and strength training for Crossfit, Yoga for Recovery, Corporate Wellness Yoga, Retreats and SUP Yoga. Her happy places are on the Deschutes River, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, curled up in front of the fire with her family (furry and human alike) any yoga class anywhere anytime and Spa Days.
