DC Audubon

Our goal is to promote the appreciation and conservation of birds and their habitats through the participation of those in the DC area.  Whether you're someone who appreciates the sounds of the birds, a backyard feeder, or an experienced birder, we warmly welcome people of all skill levels.  All trips are free, open to the public and we have a limited number of spare binoculars available for use. Visit us on the web for upcoming events and Recent Newsletters.

Weather and other factors may cause hazardous conditions. Some field trips may involve periods of strenuous walking or other physical exertion, and persons participating in field events sponsored by the Audubon Society of the District of Columbia do so at their own risk.  Personal and property safety while participating in, or travelling to and from, field events cannot be assured, particularly when using public transportation or accessing parts of the metropolitan area where crime may be an issue. The Audubon Society of the District of Columbia strongly recommends that participants keep expensive items such as binoculars, cameras, and phones out of sight, and avoid travelling alone if possible.**
