Darryl L. Rivers, CEO of The L.E.A.D. Company

Darryl L. Rivers is a U.S. Military Veteran and a retired Law Enforcement professional. He served as an Officer with the Detroit Police Department, a Detective with the Arizona Department of Corrections, A Lead Special Agent with the Arizona Office of the Attorney General, and a Sergeant with the Goodyear Police Department. He also served as a civilian Public Education Specialist with the Peoria Police Department. He is an Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training certified General Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, and Physical Fitness Instructor. He served as a Department Crisis/Hostage Negotiator assigned to the Special Assignment Unit, Crisis Negotiations Team.

Darryl is the founder and CEO of Darryl L. Rivers L.E.A.D. Consulting LLC / The L.E.A.D. Company. He has held leadership positions with multiple organizations, U.S. Military, State and local law enforcement agencies. He is the founder and leader of several non-profit organizations and mentors non-profit leaders in several states from Arizona to New Jersey. Darryl is a national leadership speaker and trainer, a published author, Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst, Emotional Intelligence analyst/trainer, and a John Maxwell Certified Team Member licensed to instruct Maxwell's dynamic leadership materials.

Law Enforcement specific accomplishments:

• Detroit Police Department - 15 Meritorious Citations, 1 Lifesaving Award, 1 Departmental Citation, 7 Letters of Commendation, 1 Spirit of Detroit Award, 1 Certificate of Special Tribute (from the Governor of Michigan) and Year of 2000 Officer of the Year Award
• Office of the Attorney General – Managed 100 volunteer personnel, 6 Special Agents, governed 3 budgets totaling $200,000, developed operations plans for multiple undercover operations, wrote arrest and use of force policies for the agency, supervised the Tobacco Enforcement Unit for the State of Arizona
• Goodyear Police Department – Supervised midnight shift, Primary Crisis Negotiator, General Instructor, 1 Chief Excellence Award, 1 Police Cross Award, 1 Medal of Valor
