Since her first job after college working in construction, Chelle has enjoyed building and creating. Not only could she take wood and other materials to restore their natural beauty and purpose, she could help people make their visions and dreams a reality.

In the past few years, Chelle noticed the trend of people throwing away solid wood furniture, which were to be replaced with cheap, poorly built items.  She knew there had to be away to take these worn, but sturdy pieces to make them beautiful and useful again. So that is how it began.  She would pick up furniture before the garbage truck could crush it, take it home, clean it up, and give it a second chance at life.

Chelle also enjoys creating new pieces and using reclaimed lumber and architectural salvage to make furniture.  It started with a cast iron and wood bench that needed repaired.  Which evolved into custom shelves made with old house siding and rusty barn tin.

After friends started stopping by and wanting to buy the rescued and custom designed pieces, she has finally decided to take the leap and pursue it full-time.  Chelle also started holding workshops where she teaches others how to change the look of their own furniture and rescue curbside finds.  She enjoys teaching and sharing her knowledge.
