Crissy Ford-Leatham


As a Fashion public relation Expert I help companies build and maintain their public image. They often work with apparel companies and retail stores. I choose information that they want to share with the public and distribute them through different media outlets such as the internet, radio, television and the news. Thus, meaning I maintain a strong professional relationship with the media/press. My main responsibility as a public relations Expert is to promote and gain exposure.

I always come up with creative ways to work within in the field of fashion, Music, Lifestyle, Art and entertainment. My work hours are often long and my exact job responsibilities vary from day to day. I also research to find new information about fashion and products that can be shared with consumers and my clients.

I must Prepare or edit organizational publications for internal and external audiences, including employee newsletters and stockholders’ reports. I constantly must respond to requests from the media or designate an appropriate information source. I also plan and conduct market research of public opinions based on the brand/product. Another aspect to my daily duties is that I am required to write press releases and conduct press conferences.

Most of the time I implement strategies that can help better the company that I'm working for. In time of crisis situations, I will manage the overall appearance and outlook of the client. I continue to keep the public updated on certain situations.
