Community Justice Center
The Community Justice Center (CJC) in Fresno, California was founded in 2020 amidst the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the challenging times and the appearance of being a brand-new organization, the CJC has experienced immense growth and was given a huge boost when we were entrusted with valuable, longstanding programs from Fresno Pacific University’s Center for Peacemaking, including VORP, the Victim Offender Reconciliation Program (youth diversion program) and COSA, Circles of Support and Accountability (adult restorative reentry program). These restorative justice initiatives are data-driven and proven to save lives, save time and save money by investing in community well-being.
OUR MISSION
Community Justice Center seeks to cultivate individual and collective well-being, shared accountability, and healing through community- driven research and evidence-based restorative processes.
