The Benefits Administration Office is responsible for administering medical, dental, optical, life and supplemental insurance benefits for active employees. This office is also focused on wellness, prevention activities, employee communication and health education.

Benefits Wellness Promotion has been created to improve the health and well-being of the City of Detroit's employees through health education and activities that support healthy lifestyles, thereby resulting in improved employee productivity, morale and health care cost savings.
