Cinco Ranch High School Robotics Team - CRyptonite

CRHS Robotics team CRyptonite competes with other teams, grades 9-12, globally as part of the FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Robotics Competitions (FRC).  FIRST will announce this year’s robotics challenge on January 7, 2017 and teams will then have just 6 weeks to plan, design, prototype, build, and program a 120 pound robot to compete against other teams in regional and national events to achieve the objective.    Throughout the year the team performs community outreach activities to raise awareness and show how STEM is fun.  The annual Science Day Camp is held to interest younger students in STEM and is also a way the high school students carry out a fund raising event to help support their team.   The CRHS CRyptonite Robotics team is guided by the CRHS Robotics Booster Club, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of volunteers (parents, mentors, and former team members), who strongly believe in the values and goals of FIRST and STEM education.
