Family and Friends,
This June we are hosting the Christiansen Gran Fondo benefiting the Great Cycle Challenge and the Childrens Cancer Research Fund. I personally am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids' cancer!
Why? Because right now, cancer is the biggest killer of children from disease in the United States. Over 15,700 children are diagnosed every year, and sadly, 38 children die of cancer every week. Nat passed away last year in April after a courageous 3-year-long battle with osteosarcoma. Also because last June I learned my Dad had prostate cancer at 88 years young, a child at heart. He passed April 22, 2019.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it and be able to experience the life we take for granted.
I am raising funds through my challenge to help these kids and support Children's Cancer Research Fund to allow them to continue their work to develop lifesaving treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.
By making a donation YOU give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Your support will change little lives.

The driving force behind the Lisa Christiansen Foundation, the Take Action Foundation, and the Infinity Plus Foundation, Dr. Lisa Christiansen upholds a steadfast commitment to children in the United States and abroad, feeding hungry families during the holiday months, providing free education to underserved communities, and giving bicycles to children in need. Founded in 2006, the Lisa Christiansen Foundation was established to provide families with baskets of food on Thanksgiving and Christmas. The organization has served thousands of people over the years. Among her many endeavors with the Lisa Christiansen Foundation, Dr. Christiansen delivered 1,800 baskets of food in November 2007 to residents of Lawton, Oklahoma, and elsewhere. Two years later, she donated $100,000 worth of bicycles to children throughout the United States, for which she received extensive regional media coverage. In addition, Dr. Lisa Christiansen runs the Take Action Foundation, where she promotes holistic alternatives to traditional cancer treatment. Visit her website for more information on her philanthropic work.
The Christiansen Granfondo is founded by Lisa Christiansen and inspired by the many visits to the Holy City during Lisa Christiansen’s training rides through the majestic Wichita Mountains Wildlife refuge. Christiansen frequently stops at the Holy City Of The Wichitas to take a break before embarking on her long rides. Sonja and Deena invited Christiansen to host an event and Christiansen replied “I would be honored to help any way I can” and from a vision was born reality.
Cyclists from around the world are being welcomed twice a year to participate in this historic event and tickets are now available online. The Holy City reminds people of old Jerusalem in Oklahoma, and the location makes for a perfect ride in the Wichita mountains that appear to be the stone ruins of an ancient city.
