Children's Services of Roxbury

The mission of Children’s Services of Roxbury (CSR) reflects our commitment to strengthening families and marginalized communities across Massachusetts. Children’s Services of Roxbury strives to provide high-quality services to economically disadvantaged children, youth, families, and individuals thereby promoting and strengthening family life and individual growth.

As a 50-year old minority-led nonprofit, CSR provides urgently needed services and support to youth facing homelessness, domestic violence, trauma, parent addiction and other family challenges. CSR partners with Boston Public Schools to provide mental health counseling to youth at risk of dropping out of schools, delivering services in 17 high schools, middle schools and elementary schools in the Greater Roxbury community. Our Youth Police Partnership program provides employment readiness skills, career exploration and high school tutoring and college readiness for teens.  Other CSR services include early childcare and education, transitional housing for homeless families, family stabilization, foster care services and youth supports to transition to independent living including employment readiness.

CSR operates on seven core values: Dignity, Respect, Compassion, Humility, Integrity, Excellence, and Patience. These values reflect CSR’s approach to serving others and achieving our desired outcomes.
