Children's Chorus of Washington

Founded by Joan Gregoryk in 1995, the Children’s Chorus of Washington (CCW) provides the best choral music experience for young people in the nation’s capital through its exceptional educational programs, performance opportunities, and community partnerships. CCW is an independent non-for-profit organization not affiliated with any school, adult chorus, or venue. Young singers ages 5-18 receive outstanding choral music education regardless of background, economic status, or prior experience through CCW’s five auditioned ensembles, preparatory classes, and SING DC program in under-resourced DC schools. As the premiere youth chorus in the nation’s capital, CCW performs frequently in marquee and neighborhood venues throughout Metropolitan Washington, DC, and domestically and internationally on a regular tour schedule. CCW is the recipient of numerous grants and awards, including 2012 Best Choral Group by the Washington Area Music Awards, 2012 Greater Washington Area Choral Excellence Award for Best Educational Outreach, and one of the best small charities in the Greater Washington region in the 2015/2016 Catalogue for Philanthropy
