Children's Bureau, Inc.

Founded in 1851, Children's Bureau, Inc. is a private, non-profit 501(c)3 licensed by the State of Indiana. Children's Bureau works in partnership with the Indiana Department of Child Services and other organizations statewide.



We are excited to once again be able to offer our well known Take TIME for Kids! and Take CHANCES for Kids! trainings, generously supported by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Foundation and Nina Mason Pulliam Charitable Trust.  Please see the upcoming events to register.



Children's Bureau is now also offering the Trauma Informed Care Training TACTICS (Treating All Clients with Trauma Informed Strategies) as a one day training.  Agencies or other groups can arrange a private training for their staff or group.  


Participants will:

  • be able to identify types of trauma and the effects of trauma exposure.
  • understand the meaning of the acronym NEAR as it pertains to trauma.
  • be able to identify the relevance and importance of the ACE Study.
  • gain understanding of how trauma affects the brain and its development.
  • be able to identify at least three ways to heal or help others heal from trauma.
