Chef Hong Thaimee

Originally from Chiangmai, Thailand, Chef Hong Thaimee came to New York in 2007, with a business degree but little kitchen experience. She quickly talked her way into cooking jobs at Jean-Georges' Spice Market and Perry Street restaurants.

She left Jean-Georges in 2012 to open Ngam In 2018, she is chef/owner of three NYC restaurants, all under the Thaimee brand. She is also a media figure, an inspirational speaker and an ambassador for Thai food.
