Center for Deployment Psychology with the American Council on Education and the Bob Woodruff Foundation

The Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP), in collaboration with the American Council on Education (ACE) and the Bob Woodruff Foundation, is pleased to offer expanded programming for the University Counseling Center Core Competency (UC4) course offered at college and university Counseling Centers across the nation.

With support from a Bob Woodruff Foundation grant, the ACE and CDP will bring additional UC4 and UC4e workshops to higher education institutions across the USA. These trainings will help prepare hundreds of college and university professional mental healthcare providers in their work with students who are in the military or have served our country.

The CDP trains military and civilian behavioral health professionals to provide high-quality deployment related behavioral health services to military personnel and their families.

Founded by a joint act of Congress and the American Psychological Association (APA) in 2006, the CDP is nationally recognized for its broad spectrum of continuing education programs, conference lectures, and clinical workshops focused on the unique needs of the military community.  Presentations are delivered by recognized experts on military culture, deployment psychology, and evidence-based therapies.  Live presentations and workshops are augmented through a range of online trainings and resources as well as consultation services.

The CDP is a tri-service psychology training consortium headquartered at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU) in Bethesda, Maryland. As the Nation's only federal health sciences university, USU is committed to excellence in military medicine and public health during peace and war.
