Center for Biotechnology

 

The Center for Biotechnology, an Empire State Development Division of Science, Technology & Innovation, Designated Center for Advanced Technology in Medical Biotechnology, is a cooperative research and development partnership between universities, private industry and New York State. It is involved in the discovery and early stage development of commercially promising technologies resulting from academic research, and the creation of strategic infrastructure that promotes the growth of the life sciences industry.

Demy–Colton Life Science Advisors, founded in 2008, specializes in the development of high-value added conferences that address strategic in the life sciences industry. Since its inception, Demy-Colton conceived Partnering for Cures, now a Milken Institute/FasterCures conference; established the Biotech Showcase®, an investor conference featuring 240 public and private corporate presentations; redefined the Life Sciences Summit™ as an event focused on bringing innovation, capital and industry together along with the Center for Biotechnology; and, developed the US-Japan Health Sciences Dialogue™ into a US based pan-Asian business development conference.
