Carnegie Institution of Washington

The Department of Terrestrial Magnetism (DTM) and the Geophysical Laboratory (GL) are two of six scientific departments of the Carnegie Institution for Science, an independent, nonprofit research organization based in Washington, DC. Set in an idyllic location, the Broad Branch Road campus is home to both laboratories and only a few steps away from the heart of Washington. For 100 years it has been an integral part of the community, hosting events and lectures presented by the most brilliant minds in modern science.
