Dr. Loretta C. Thompson has served on many national and international organizational leadership teams from various business, government, academia, and social service entities. Having served as a leader, trainer, coach, lecturer and administrator in the areas of leadership and management, she has received various forms of accolades and awards. She has served as Executive Director for over fifteen years of a not-for-profit organization that received funding from federal and state governments, philanthropies and business entities for her leadership in organizational development and creativity in collaboration forming and program design. For over ten years, she continues to serve as the President of CMS, a leadership and management consulting firm.

Dr. Thompson works with a highly dynamic and prolific workforce of professionally-seasoned trainers and managers uniquely suited to achieving excellence in organizational leadership, management, change, and growth for targeted businesses and services. We mirror Mr. John Maxwell’s belief that organizational growth comes from leadership development. CMS believes that the principles for organizational growth are rooted in the John Maxwell leadership philosophy, “Everything rises and falls on leadership.” As a certified Maxwell Coach, Teacher and Speaker, she is excited about the impact such teaching and training can have on growth and leadership in organizations. And yes, she does agree with Mr. Maxwell, “Leadership is not about titles, positions, or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another, bringing in reciprocity!”

Ms. Thompson received her undergraduate training from the University of Pennsylvania where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Urban Studies; she furthered her formal education by receiving her Masters of Arts Degree from Howard University in Criminal Justice and Urban Studies. Dr. Thompson completed her dissertation in December 2016 for her doctoral degree from Nova Southeastern University in Organizational Leadership and Management.
