Cala Restaurant

Tucked between Civic Center and Hayes Valley in San Francisco, Cala offers a distinctly Mexican seafood-focused menu and full cocktail bar that specializes in mezcal. Opened in 2015 by Gabriela Cámara, chef-owner of Mexico City’s landmark restaurant, Contramar, Cala is her first restaurant in the U.S. Ingredients are carefully sourced from local, sustainable farmers, ranchers and fishermen and the menu changes with the seasons.
