Bullets Baseball

Mission Statement

The Bullets Baseball mission is to provide a core foundation in life and baseball skills to the youth in the Tampa area. The Bullets respond to the needs of developing athletes by teaching discipline, sportsmanship, pride, ethics and integrity and giving back to the community. Bullets will continue to raise thousands of dollars and give back to needy families throughout the holiday season.

The History of The Bullets

The Bullets were formed in the spring of 1998 by Coach Sal Giardina and Mike Lancaster as an 11 and under team that featured their sons Nick Lancaster and Carmine Giardina. Origanally called the Bloomingdale Distance, the team won a Triple Crown Sports tournament during their inaugural season. The team changed their name to the Bloomingdale Bullets for the Fall 1998 season.

Of the original 22 players who played for the Bullets, 20 have gone on to play baseball for a Tampa Bay area High School. Fifteen of those players made their High School Teams as freshman.

In 2005 the Bullets organization started to grow in the number of teams and have had a number of players that have moved on and are currently playing HS baseball. The Bullets have had 2 teams win the AAU National Championships.

Since 2005 the Bullets organization has had 25 players move onto play College Baseball and 6 have been drafted by MLB.

Community Outreach

As part of our mission, Bullets Baseball has been committed to helping those less fortunate in our local community. Each year the coaches, players and parents come together to raise money for a variety of charities. Over the years the Bullets "family" has raised thousands of dollars for many charities including the Red Cross, the Susan G. Komen Foundation and the Greater Brandon Foundation.

In our tradition of giving, Bullets Baseball collects food and delivers Thanksgiving meals to needy families throughout the area. In the inaugural year, the Bullets fed 12 families.

Camp proceeds and sponsorships will be used to support the Bullets Holiday Community Outreach. Since 2005, the Bullets have fed over 1,100 families Thanksgiving Dinner and sponsored over 825 children for Christmas.

We appreciate your support! It will truly touch the lives of families in need!
