BR Training and Education is a boutique firm whose professionals have worked in the field for over 20 years combined and have been partners in providing training for over 5 years. Our skillset is diverse and our experience centers around behavioral healthcare administration and evidence-based service delivery, as well as creating and implementing organizational policy in a variety of healthcare settings.

Brienne Jennings, MA, CGRS has been working in the behavioral health field for the past 12 years and has done so in both New Jersey and Pennsylvania. During this time, she has provided behavioral health services as an instructional designer, behavioral health clinician/therapist, case manager, research assistant, and mental health technician. Brienne has spent 3 years providing training services to behavioral health professionals in Philadelphia on a number of topics, including Motivational Interviewing practices, crisis management, trauma, grief and loss, instructional design, and other counseling practices. Brienne holds a Masters of Mental Health Counseling from Seton Hall University, is a CPI Certified Associate Instructor for Nonviolent Crisis Intervention®, and a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist.

Ryan Skimmons, MS has over a decade of experience working in behavioral health settings providing direct service, management and training. He is a certified QPR Suicide Prevention trainer and has extensive experience in providing training related to the intersection of mental health and the criminal justice system. He has trained hundreds of police officers as part of Philadelphia’s CIT mental health training program and was instrumental in the development of the city’s cutting-edge CIRT co-responder program, which features social workers and police officers responding to mental health crisis calls. Previously, he worked as a director of residential treatment programs for adults with severe behavioral health needs and has also provided services in outpatient settings and in the community for youth and adolescents on the autism spectrum. He earned his M.S. in Psychology from Villanova University where he completed research on language acquisition and learning environments for preschool-aged children.
