Boston Branch NAACP
The Boston Branch of the NAACP is the first chartered branch in the NAACP, founded in 1911. For over the past 100 years, the NAACP has worked to eliminate racial discrimination and achieve equal rights and opportunities for people of color. The Boston NAACP has been at the forefront of the Civil Rights movement, challenging educational inequalities, as well as housing and employment discrimination. Today, we work to eliminate the taint of racism in our attitudes and institutions.
