The BMCC Department of Business Management Small Business/Entrepreneurship program is a two-year program leading to the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) degree. Many e'ship programs offer skills workshops, but they do not lead to a degree. Our program is designed to prepare students with the skills to start their own business, or to be a successful intrapreneur (entrepreneur inside a corporation) for a business, startup, or existing company. The program features four courses specifically designed to help students form an entrepreneurial mindset, connect to the NYC startup community, and begin their own business.

SBE partners with student groups like the BMCC Student Business Enterprise Club. They bring together some of the most diverse and brightest business students in one place. Each semester the group visits companies, hosts mentors, tour startups, and experience finance innovators. The groups also help with pitching for startup contests and business plan advising.

BMCC has special programs for ESL students or those who may have challenges with math, science, and reading.
