BlackRock Center for the Arts

BlackRock Center for the Arts, the leading venue for the performing and visual arts in Upper Montgomery County, MD, provides the community with the highest level of quality performances, free gallery exhibitions and arts education classes in a welcoming and intimate setting close to home.

Now it its 14th season, reaching more than 20,000 people per year, BlackRock presents performances featuring top regional, national and international touring talent from the worlds of pop, jazz, roots, rock, blues, folk, world and classical music, as well as dance and theater for young audiences and families.

Photo/Video Release

BlackRock reserves the right to use photographs and video, taken in class or at the Center, of students, participants, patrons and/or their artwork for the purposes of instruction and/or advertising and promotion of BlackRock and its programs. You consent to the use of your image or likeness incidental to any display, transmission or reproduction of the exhibit, performance or event. 

Conduct

As a professional arts center, BlackRock is committed to providing quality programming for all who wish to participate and does not discriminate on the basis of color, race, ethnic or national group, gender, sexual orientation, or disability. BlackRock requires all visitors to treat others in a respectful manner and reserve the right to take appropriate action in support of this policy. BlackRock also reserves the right to ask any patron to leave or withdraw from classes if they are disruptive or interfere with the safety of others. BlackRock has a “Zero Tolerance” policy in regard to physical or verbal abuse, theft, vandalism and the use of any and all illegal substances. Anyone behaving inappropriately in the facility will be asked to leave. BlackRock management reserves the right to refuse admission or eject any person whose conduct is deemed by management to be disorderly or who fails to comply with the terms and conditions herein.

Indemnification

Patrons indemnify and agree to keep indemnified BlackRock Center for the Arts in respect to loss, damage and injury occurring on premises or during any BlackRock event. BlackRock, its staff, officers, artists and agents assume no responsibility or liability for any injuries or loss resulting from any exhibit, event or performance whether occurring prior to, during or after said show.
