The Black Women’s Forum UK has many aims in the quest to offer a safe and empowering space for Women of Colour. Our aims are outlined in brief below:
To offer a safe, open and supportive space for women of colour to come together and discuss and explore complex issues.
To open a dialogue between women of colour to discuss issues impertinent in their community. Including but not limited to issues of racism, intergenerational conflict, mental health, self-care, empowerment, navigating the job force and self-actualisation.
To offer a consultancy service for other organisations interested in seeking support in ways to assist Women of colour.
To build a supportive and empowering network of women who can offer mentoring and support services for other Women of colour
Every year we hold a free national conference for Black women from across the UK and this year we will be celebrating our 5th anniversary.
