Bethesda Children's Home

Mission and Vision
Bethesda is ministry that provides needed hope and healing to children and their families.

Bethesda Children’s Home fulfills its mission by providing a continuum of care which includes our least restrictive after school, summer, and day time education programs for children and youth ages 6-18, to the most restrictive residential treatment for youth ages 13-18. Bethesda works with children, youth and families to develop individualized treatment plans which address the whole person and focus on lifelong progress and success.

At Bethesda Children’s Home, we treat every child as if they were our own. Our professionally trained and caring staff take the time to get to know kids, while providing them with the structure they need to progress in their treatment.

Bethesda’s tradition of helping kids stems back to 1919, when it was first established by the Lutheran Church as an orphanage in Meadville, Pennsylvania. Bethesda has since added two locations in Erie, Pennsylvania. Bethesda Trinity Center in Erie provides after school and summer programs for children ages 6-13. At Bethesda Leadership Center in Erie, youth and teens learn independent living skills and practice the creative arts, through music lessons, dance instruction, and a fully functioning recording studio.
