Beth Perera

Beth transitioned to a plant-based diet in April 2010 to rid herself of painful arthritic symptoms in her feet. Barely able to get into a pair of shoes, she sought treatment that could make a difference without medication or surgery. She discovered the world of whole-food, plant-based nutrition and within months, her symptoms were nearly gone, and walking, hiking, and even dancing were comfortable again!

Eager to share her discovery with the world, Beth continued her education and received her Plant-Based Nutrition certification from eCornell, Food For Life Cooking Instructor certification from The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM), Starch-Based Instructor certification through the Dr. John McDougall program, and Women's Health and Food Over Medicine certifications from Dr. Pamela Popper's Wellness Forum Health. In addition to teaching and speaking across the country, Beth was recently hired as Wellness Forum Health's General Manager.

Beth is passionate about helping her students understand and implement easy food choices and simple cooking skills that lead to optimal health. Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious and her workshops are interactive, fun, and incredibly informative!
