Baltimore Area Alliance (BAA)

Mission
To support the development and growth of FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) teams in the Baltimore area (www.mdfirst.org) by providing a nurturing environment for activities and competitions to help teams achieve their goals.
History
The BAA was founded in 2006 by a group of mentors primarily as a vehicle for sharing materials and tools among local teams. Soon other teams joined this community of practice, and the BAA quickly grew in both membership and scope. The BAA now sponsors training sessions, an off-season competition, and shared fund-raising initiatives.
Meeting Schedule
Meet as needed; generally a minimum of once per quarter.
Donations
The BAA accepts donations through a local 501c3 - Partnership and Inspiration for Engineering Education and Entrepreneurship - PIE3 (www.pie-3.org)
