Benita Moore, owner/instructor of Aunt Bee’s Kitchen, grew up on a farm in the San Joaquin Valley preserving food from the garden and orchard with her mother and grandmother. She has a Food Service Technology certificate from Shasta College, was a Chef’s Apprentice at the Redding Red Lion Inn, and a Certified Cook with the American Culinary Federation. Benita most recently trained with the UCCE Master Food Preservers in food safety and current home food preservation methods. Her mission is to teach people how to preserve delicious, nutritious, and safe food, as well as to support the local farming community.
