Association for India's Development - Bay Area Chapter
Association for India’s Development (AID) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that works on grassroots level interventions in India to address social issues spanning education, health, people’s rights and the environment. AID supports fellowships for committed individuals and works closely with other NGO organizations in these areas. AID has 37 chapters in the US, 11 in India, 1 each in the Netherlands, Australia, Canada and Oman. AID is rated 4-star by Charity Navigator the highest attainable rating. AID raises its funds through concerts, marathons and contributions from patrons.
The Bay Area chapter of AID was formed in August 1997. We are an enthusiastic group of working professionals, students and stay at home spouses who share the vision and aspiration of fellow AID volunteers. We share a willingness to make a difference – and learn – and unlearn – as we work together for the common good.
