I lost my mom to ovarian cancer when I was 18. She was 49 and died just 9 months after Stage 4 diagnosis. She was also a nurse who put others first, and unaware of the symptoms.

Following my scare a few years ago, I successfully underwent proactive surgery to eliminate my risk. I am now very passionate about raising awareness while also supporting research efforts.

September is the Awareness Month and teal is the color. Our first event was held at the gorgeous Regale Winery in Los Gatos (thanks to their incredible generosity) leading to our name: Toasting to Teal. :-)

Although the current statistics are daunting, significant breakthroughs are underway and there is HOPE!
