Andriea Harrell

Andriea is a single mother of four and a divorcee after ten years of marriage. She began her young life as a teenage parent at the age of 17. Andriea was 6 months pregnant with her first child when she graduated from Miami Southridge Senior High in 1995. Shortly after giving birth to her first child, Andriea enrolled in Cosmetology School and became a Licensed Cosmetologist. In 2010, Andriea graduated from Nova Southeastern University with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration after almost 10 years of enrolling in her first college course. By the grace of God, Andriea managed to graduate with an overall GPA of 3.01 and walk down the aisle while she was 8 months pregnant; with her third child at that time.

The motto of her outreach is: “My Past Does Not Determine My Destiny.” This is the message Andriea wants to communicate to the community she grew up in because she understands first hand some of the struggles. Andriea says, “It has always been my dream to go back into the community I grew up in and empower young girls and women.” She wants to let them know that regardless of the challenges they may have or are facing…“they can do all things through Christ that gives them strength and if “I could do it they can too!”

Andriea’s goal is to assist women who have faced various challenges in life and girls in grades 5-9 of the Goulds community of all cultures, skin color, and backgrounds to succeed and fulfill their destiny. She believes that “With God all things are possible.”
