Amanda S. Muhammad is a Stress Management Consultant with over 9 years of experience. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Kansas in Management & Leadership, with a Concentration in Human Resources, and a Master’s Degree from Baker University in Organizational Leadership. After several successful but unfulfilling career moves, she found love in teaching others and and helping them maximize their potential.

 

Amanda is a Certified Yoga Instructor and Dynamic Mindfulness Trainer. She uses scientifically supported mindfulness practices as a tool for teaching resilience, self-care, and enabling restorative practices and social-emotional learning skills. Amanda facilitates wellness classes, resilience coaching, a variety of workshops, and hosts Dynamic Mindfulness Trainings. She’s had the opportunity to share her practice with a number of individuals, organizations, schools, and companies in the DFW Metroplex. In addition to her physical work in DFW, she runs a site called Mako Mindfulness. Mako Mindfulness is an educational platform created to teach you how to build resilience to stress and learn tips for how to incorporate self-care throughout your day. Amanda is the co-founder of A Peace of Yoga with her mother, Celestine Muhammad. The company serves as an Ambassador for The Niroga Institute, a Community Partner for The Yoga & Body Image Coalition, and a Circle Facilitator for Off the Mat Into the World.
