ALMANOR RECREATION AND PARK (ARPD)

GROWING RECREATION IN THE ALMANOR BASIN

Almanor Recreation and Park District (ARPD)  is an unfunded Special District in Plumas County, CA.  We follow State regulations for Special Districts and are governed by procedures developed by the County.  The Plumas County LAFco recognizes our scope as recreation and parks for a sphere of influence including most of northwest Plumas County.

We are serving the commercial and residential communities within the Lake Almanor Basin.  We serve a population of about 4000.  We produce and/or sponsor community events and programs, as well as capital projects, with an emphasis on recreation, parks and trails.  We operate the Truman Collins Sports Complex to promote Youth and Adult Sports.  We operate out an office building at 102 Meadowbrook Loop located west of the Truman Collins Complex.  Staffed office  hours are 9 am to 2 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
