Alexander Nderitu is a Kenyan writer and IT expert. Some of his literature has been translated into Swedish, Japanese and Arabic. In November 2001, he became Africa's first ‘digital novelist’ with the Internet publication of his suspense thriller, ‘When the Whirlwind Passes’. He has since authored 3 more works of fiction and 4 non-fiction papers. In 2014, his poem ‘Someone in Africa Loves You’ represented Kenyan literature at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow. Later the same year, he appeared on the cover of 'Zuqka' - Kenya's widest-circulation entertainment magazine. 

Now an arts promoter and the Deputy Secretary-General of PEN Kenya, Nderitu has given talks at USIU-Africa University, Daystar University,  The Italian Cultural Institute,  StoryMoja Festival,  WorldReader Digital Reading Summit (EA), among others.
